Thermoworks now has an “Inventory Reduction” sale starting today, along with continuing the Holiday Specials sale. Looks like more items have just been added to the Holiday Specials sale. Among the new additions is the Smoke X4. Only the X2 was included in the Holiday sale.

Yeah…me too! I ordered the Signals unit and some accessories yesterday. Still. I probably did OK; the price is the same in the extended sale. I would really have been bummed if they had dropped it.

Yeah, I am kind of on the fence between the signals and the smoke X4. I'm going to mull it over for a day or so. Leaning towards Signals myself.

In my opinion, the Thermapen (I have had the MK4 for several years) is one of the most indispensable cooking tools. Mine gets used at the smoker, gas grill and in the kitchen. It and a good set of knives are the basic building blocks for a well-equipped cook.

Quality knives are a must too. Unfortunately, they don't go on sale that often.

I use and love Dexter knives. Not expensive and work really well. https://dexter1818.com/

Amazon sells them, and the edges hold forever.

I’m not familiar with Dexter knives. I need to explore the link you provided.

I’ve long had a full set of Wusthof Classic knives that I like very much.

lol dexter is a good knive. has to be the most popular knive in restraunts and butcher shops. i had one for years i liked alot

Now, that’s GREAT service, but it does look like you did have the advantage of living just down the road from ThermoWorks in American Fork, Utah. Still, over the New Year’s holiday weekend, I’d say that was GREAT service. Congrats on the new Smoke.
