RecTeq turning off app remote start up feature?

Okay @Motodad1776 , this isn't the place for logic. 😁
Classic movie by the way!!!

Naming the feature(on topic) caused so much displeasure that now the thread is just about non-specific conspiracies(off topic). If nothing in particular is named, you can't get particularly mad at it. If you try to shut the thread down by coercive measures then it goes on for at least a few more pages. Feels very American!

The only "conspiracy" is whether or not Recteq did it on their own or merely from the Standards they said were issued. (Which is actually a truth hunt not a conspiracy)

Both versions have been documented*

I like how certain people go out of their way to click on this thread and read it knowing full well they aren't going to like what half the people are saying.

Welcome to Rec Teq Forum

Rec Teq Forum is an unofficial fan site forum for owners of the ever popular Rec Teq pellet grills.
We welcome all Rec Teq owners, both new and old, veterans and newbies to smoking to discuss and share their experiences with their Rec Teq smokers.

Notice that says "discuss and share their experiences with their Rec Teq smokers". We are discussing the experience of missing a feature. If you don't like this topic, DON"T CLICK ON THE THREAD! That's all on YOU. Quit trying to make yourself the victim.

Think of it this way. If Recteq decides to limit the grills to 400 degrees because that seems to be where most grease fires start with dirty drip trays, are we supposed to just live with it like certain people think we should live with this? Ray's landscaper "fantasy" is bs. Lets continue his what if. What if I walk outside and remove the cover and put if off to the side, start the grill and go back inside. The wind kicks up and blows the cover onto the grill and starts a fire? At my house it's windy more often than a landscaper visits. Perhaps they should mandate a sensor on the grill to determine if its covered.

My complaint is Ray and Recteq are not telling the truth. The official announcement said "...we have made the decision to disable this feature." That's different than what others have claimed (it was due to government guidelines), however I have yet to see that from Recteq themselves. Unless its in the Patriot Act, there is no reason they can't say "XYZ law/ruling/guidance". And I'm not going to go find some rando's facebook post about a gas grill ruling and trust them. This needs to come from Rec Teq directly.

Remember, if you know you don't agree with this topic, DON'T CLICK ON THE THREAD AND COMPLAIN ABOUT YOURSELF BEING THE VICTIM. Perhaps the folks that miss this feature can follow you around to different threads complaining about your recipes. "I can't believe you put salt in there, its going to give people high blood pressure and kill them."

Also, their Android App listing still states

About this app

Turn your grill up, down, on, or off.

@Eric , if I click the thread and don't like what I see, should I go to my safe space? Asking for a friend 😁

Is your friend a conspiracy theorist? In my life when there are people, articles, shows etc......that I am not interested in or not my cup of tea, I have "typically" just moved on or ignored such things, but will also participate at times in order to have a conflicting comparison with my own beliefs/views. However, being a very open minded person is a burden at times, but in my advancing years, I am witnessing RAMPANT close mindedness, out of control censorship and flat-out brainwashing. When masses allow the few to decide truths for them, and then those POWERFUL few say anyone questioning such truths are conspiracy theorist or perhaps even dangerous to the narrative.......that's when I know there is more to the things which the few don't want us to know or discover, then I really dig in and call out the BS. I am a person of expanding my knowledge and wanting to see the whole picture as much as possible, and people like me have always been a threat to those who want to control and enslave the mind.

To those with Netflix who might be interested in a down the rabbit hole scenario, I'd like you to watch the most excellent documentary called "The Social Dilemma", it might perhaps open your eyes a bit to a few very relevant things. ;) Also......a certain brilliant scientist from long long ago named Galileo was persecuted for his theories and beliefs, and shockingly it turns out that he was right about a few "things".

Same as trigger locks and all that other bs the gov mandates. I’m sad a company I support to do a very American thing caved to the PTB …. I’m not a tech guy but I would gladly chip in for someone to hack the controls and give me this option back.
you can use smartlife app
