Cut the existing brackets off your Weber kettle and use them. The back is mounted on the existing bullseye lid hingeAnyone figured out how this is secured? I picked up a Weber competition cart off fb marketplace and am planning to do the same but figured I’d ask here before tinkering…

What did you use, a plasma cutter?Just did the Weber performer conversion, about an hour and it’s done.
Hardest part was finding the right priced Weber.

Can you post a few pictures of the lid hinge modification? It does feel real loose and wobbly as it is designed.My lid always felt weak,shakier than I liked... SO I drilled out the two outside holes to 1/4 inch and added Bolt,washer ,metal of the 380 twice and washer ,nut... Much stronger and does not waver in the wind... Will not work with the center screw/bolt.... Also had a friend tack weld along both sides , inside, of the hinge...Great improvement...
