Yet Another Wood Shelf (YAWS). Finally decided to put a wood shelf on my 590 after seeing everyone doing it. I have a stainless steel cart I use most of the time, but thought a shelf would be useful too.
When folded down, the wood touches the comp cart, not the metal bracket like I've seen on some, so I put a small black rubber where it hits. The shelf will be there longer after the grill, that Ipe is no joke.
Measures 11"x 32"
Materials:
Stainless folding brackets from Amazon ($8 pair)
Drilled new holes in brackets and used exitsting gill bolts to mount
Scrap Ipe decking boards (free)
Biscuits & exterior glue to join decking boards together (on hand)
3/4" Stainless steel screws to attach decking boards (on hand)
