Yak and Mac

OK our son has decided we should try some ground Yak with Mac and Cheese. He found the protein for me at Wild Fork so game on. Has anyone done this or something similar on their Recteq? I swear I saw a post about this a while ago but cannot find it.

It was fun for a test drive but can't say it stood out as a superior protein.

I would say a bit gamey but not overpowering. I was told the meat would not be very salty, which is true. The mountain of cheese seemed to dominate.

We have another couple pounds in the freezer. That may become yak burgers. It should give me a better idea on flavor.
