Bullseye Water isssues

My bullseye I bought in 2022 had repeated auger jams from water getting in with light to moderate rain when it was uncovered. It appeared to be coming in the vents of the lid. Recteq solution was to send me a cover but that didn’t fix the problem when I wanted to grill in the rain and had to wait for it to cool before covering.

This last time it got jammed I destroyed it trying to unjam it. (I hammered too hard)

I am going to order the new deluxe does this one have the same water issues?

I believe since the firepot is raised up, you won't have issues with the water. I've had what you have happened leaving uncovered but since then, I've always made sure I put the cover back on. I also keep a decent amount of ash in there and I usually pus the ash towards the back where the vents are just in case. I haven't had any issues in awhile but I no doubt understand your frustration.

Maybe RecTeq would cut you a deal....worth a shot.
