I just received my 590 and put it together.

Got the recteq pellets and 3 different Kingsford kinds.

Doing initial set up tomorrow and it got me thinking.

If you had a chance to cure, or essentially christen, your new grill with your 'now pellet of choice' vs 'the factory ones', do you think it would it make any difference?

She's only brand new once, so if you had a chance to redo it would you?

welcome to the forum and congratulations on a great grill. i really liked the rec tec ultimate blend aswell as kingsford hickory and cherry. if i could do it again i would probably rub the inside with olive oil to help the ash stick that will fly around worse in a new grill. it may help season it also?

I would start drinking sooner 🍺

On the RT-700 I would start loading the hopper on right side instead of the left side.
