Just got my RT-700 built and burned in. I have to say, I was told about recteq by a friend about 5 years ago, but I thought I needed to keep using my old wood smoker to really smoke food. I finally realized that it was a real pain to smoke with wood and maintain even heat. Then I ruined a filet of salmon that I caught in Alaska and brought home (not to worry, I brought 200 lbs home, so not a tragedy). but that was the last straw. It is going to be nice to smoke the elk, deer, pig, birds and fish I bring home and not ruin the meat from unregulated heat. So excited to see the RT community and all the people that are RT fans.
