Hello, Anyone have a favorite Prime Rib recipe they would like to share or some pointers as far as cooking times ect... I plan on smoking my first tomorrow. Thanks!

I have very mixed feelings on this one -- I have done it both the "recommended" way, going to the done-ness you want and then resting it, plus perhaps a final sear, and letting it go quite low and slow -- although not as hot as for pork or similar, obviously. For the latter I usually foil 3/4 cover/wrap about 130F and run the smoker low; no higher than 225 or even 200.

I like it both ways and which I do (there's a 4-rib in my smoker right now) depends on how I feel on a given day. Then again I love deeply-smoked meats of any sort, and this is no exception.

There are many ideas on YouTube and several in this thread. https://www.recteqforum.com/threads/seeking-prime-rib-roast-advice.2156/

I tend to do a SPOG+. Matt at Meat Church does one using W sauce, which I have used and like it. I will probably use it as a binder and possibly a light basting when I cook tomorrow. Another source is https://amazingribs.com/tested-recipes/beef-and-bison-recipes/sous-vide-prime-rib/

Good luck on your cook. Let us know what you decide on doing.

Happy Holidays!
Thank you! Have a wonderful Holiday!
