Just got my Stampede and seasoned it yesterday, per the instructions.

Today I made a pork butt, which turned out great, but now I have big brown coloration on top of the barrel. I haven't seen this appear in any review videos, etc. so just wondering if I should be concerned about this? I'm still a noobie to all this so any advice is welcome - TIA!

+1 for lava lock. Will prevent that smoke stain.
It also cushions the door when you close it. Makes it feel really nice.
I also put it on my hopper lid to prevent the metal to metal noise. It's amazing what that little bit of cushion does to the overall feel of the grill.

I also put some gasket on my Stampede lid stops too. Don't have that metal to metal contact and hope to prevent some rust too.
