Good morning all,

I currently have a RT-680 and a RT-380 Bullseye. I use sear plates with my 680 but have always thought it not necessary with the 380. Now I'm wondering if I may be missing out.
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on this?
Thanks.

I have a brand new ones for 3 years now. Never needed them. The thought of having to clean them gives me nightmares, so they will stay brand new.

I have them but can't say I use them too much. One use I will say it is not needed but works great is grilling skirt steak. I use the flat side and crank the grill on riot mode and sear the heck out of them for a minute or so on each side.

But I wont' say they are worth just buying. I will say if you just have the stock grate from recteq, they can be very useful for general grilling however I have a cast iron grill grate so I don't end up using my grill grates often.
