Has anyone come up with a way to catch drippings for later use when cooking on the 340? Not a lot of head room.

I have the 700 and just use a disposable tinfoil pan. I will smoke for 12 or so hours and then move to the pan for 4 to 6 hours. It is always full of drippings when I'm done. I give them to my MIL, she uses it for gravy.

I save mine and mix it with birdseed for the birds come winter time.

I tried it on the 340 putting the butt on a cooking grate inside a aluminum foil pan about 2" deep. I didn't care for the final product, had problems getting much of a bark on it.

The truck is usually covered in snow come winter and leaving before sunrise and returning after sunset it's never a problem. It helps them thru the winter so I don't mind. I don't think they do either when it's below zero.
