Alerts while grill is off??

Probably late sending out the alert since it’s a busy weekend.

I've never had it happen. I get them all the time with the app not open (using grill manually).

It’s never happened before. But my grill will be turned off and completely cooled down and I’ll continue to get alerts saying it’s heating up.

Yes yesterday as well for me too, even though I shut the grill off with the app.

It sounds like the alerts were delayed. Speculation would be another symptom of their server capacity issues.

This is the one and only complaint I have about my 700 is that on busy weekends there are delays on alerts. I was actually a little put off that recteq built a grill based on member upgrades but didn’t address this issue. I would like to see a grill that doesn’t need to be connected to their server. At least they should give us the option to connect to our home network via vpn to control the grill. Then maybe we wouldn’t have this issue.

This makes sense. It’s never happened before but I would assume as people continue to get on board with rec tec as they will the server will get more clogged up. Hope they address this!
