I use the Heavy D with great results. It puts a much better smoke on your food than pellet tubes. Also allows you to get smoke at higher Temps. They have some other products as well... but they require holes in grill.... and I don't think the quality of the smoke is as good. Definitely worth a...
If you are using pellets only in the tube... not going to be much smoke. They burn too efficiently. Try adding some small chips. Also you may want to look into Smoke Daddy smoke generators. They have some awesome products.
100% with it. Tubes are ok but can never get close to the smoke this puts out...I guess it depends on how much smoke you want though. If you don't like alot of smoke the tube is good... but if you want more this is a great alternative

I do not regret my 1250 at all...I upgraded from the 700 for the extra space, faster auger and wifi...I have not even used the extra track yet and can fit enuff to feed an army...I did alot of research before buyingand there is only one that is better... but it's not worth the money....I use...
Who says you can't get good smoke on a pellet grill.... smoked a turkey/ chicken sausage meatloaf on the 1250 with a Smoke Daddy diffuser. Holy Smoke!!
Doing my first cook on my new 1250. Before I bought it I considered alot of options including cabinet smokers, more expensive models like Yoder, etc.... but today confirmed I made the right choice.... sitting outside watching TV with a drink while my smoker does all the work... all about the...
I would not buy blackstone.... the name is better thanthe product. Pit Boss makes a way better griddle.... as for size better to get bigger than you need just in case. I have 36 inch and love the benefit of multiple cooking zones.
