Blackstone or comparable griddle owners here?

I'm confused when you say you are "...done with any gas grill... Isn't the Blackstone a propane grill?

So did I make a bad decision ?

Anyone who has ever butt-dialed someone shouldn't wonder why they removed the remote start feature. It was nothing but a huge liability for them.

    App and Model

Man, I agree with you here. I swear some of these computer techies say "I'm bored, let's change some things". They make changes just for the sake of change sometimes.

Pointy-head bureaucrats can't keep their noses out of other peoples' business. Gotta justify their jobs somehow.

    Twenty-four Hour Ribs?

Frito pies have been around since I was a kid in the 50's, The trend should hit Massachusetts any day now. LOL I believe fried corn on the cob is just deep fried whole ears of corn, sometimes battered, sometimes not.

    Foiling the Drip Pan

I have tried the Costco heavy duty foil and folded it every which way known to man and the grease still gets under it. I wonder what magic is involved here?

Mesquite, its not just for BBQ

Not sure what you may have but carpenter bees don't make nests, they lay their eggs in the holes they bore. I found that by the time I had killed them with spray or smashed them, they already had laid their eggs and even if I plugged the holes, I got them again next year. If you have a lot of...

Mesquite, its not just for BBQ

Could be the type of trap you were using. I sprayed, plugged the holes, etc. etc. and never could get rid of them until I used the trap. I made mine from a cedar 4X4 with a mason jar on the bottom and caught several a day until they were gone.

Mesquite, its not just for BBQ

I have had issues with carpenter bees in the past. I sprayed for several years and it didn't help. They kept coming back. The only successful method I'm aware of is putting out the carpenter bee traps (do a search). When the bees return they enter the already made holes and are trapped before...

    Legs for my Smoke Tube

Not sure I would use galvanized wire as it can emit zinc fumes which can be absorbed by the food. As I understand it, galvanized steel can emit fumes at 392 degrees.

Bull Flat top style griddle recommendations

I have the Griddle Hack and am very happy with it. I paid $125 for it and it gets screaming hot if you want it to. It also has a grease drain that goes directly into the drain on my 590.

    Bull Useful life?

Was it the factory cover, or a plastic tarp? If if was a moisture impervious cover it is possible that condensation built up under it and caused your problem but if it was only a "month or so", I would question if that could cause it.

    New RecTeq CEO

Once I saw where a private equity company "made a significant investment", I knew things were going to change - and not for the better. Look for stellar customer service to go downhill, parts quality changing, and material thickness heading toward tinfoil durability. I would love to know who...

    Favorite smoked wing method?
