Did u have to drill holes in your 590 for side kick or can the holes for the handle be used , also how does the grease drain from the side kick ….thx for your help

I just bought a bag of the royal oak charcoal pellets, mixed them 1 to 1 with lumber jack competition blend , definitely and stronger smoke flavor and my 590 seemed to recover much faster after I had lid open , had her loaded down with brats and pork steaks , not sure if pellets had anything to...

No but mine got so bad it was lifting up drip pan , it’s a issue they should address…..imo

Smoke daddy sells one , I believe it’s 10 gauge steel , they have the other one with the doors to add wood chunks, I just bought the standard one , think it was 50/60 bucks , soon as my stock deflector warped I bought it but I’m seeing a pattern with rec teq that I was hoping would not come ☹️

I had similar problems with 3rpm motor in my 590 , no matter what the feed rate was set at mine would blow right past set temp , was hoping for better results, so I installed the 3 rpm motor on buddies 700 and his is smooth as silk with it , I think it’s to much for the 590 , just my opinion
