I grew up in Florida and loved getting Smoked Mullet anytime I wanted it, but I'm now in the Northeast and can't get mullet up here. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a similar fish to mullet that would be good for smoking whole, filleted fish? I have an RT700.

That looks phenomenal! Did you baste it during the process? How did the meat fare....was it dry? Do you think brining made a difference? Looking forward to doing a bird on my RT700.

I did try the search feature for "pellets" "purchase" "buy" etc., but it didn't return anything helpful, but thanks for the tip on asking in the generic lounge.

Want to experiment with different pellet brands for flavor and quality. Where does everyone buy their pellets? Who has the best prices? Went to HD the other day and all I saw were Traeger pellets, which I'm not sure if their quality...have heard conflicting feedback.

Thanks everyone! Got a response from RecTeq and they said the gaskets aren't really necessary and I would run the risk of stripping the threads on the horns if I disassembled them and installed the gasket. Good to know.

I assembled my RT700 this weekend and saw the bull horns had some sort of rubber gasket attached to the base of the horns when unpacking (see attached image). Are we supposed to include these during installation? I did not, as I thought they would melt against the drum. The user manual and...
