Looks absolutely phenomenal. I've been hoodwinked before as well turning the temp down, LOL. I've never tried wrapping beef ribs yet but will have to next smoke.
Great cut and great result. Thanks for sharing!
I found this on Amazon, just tried it out, seems petty good so far. But only hold 20 lbs (roughly).

Going to smoke my first salmon on my Bull.
What's everyone's preference for smoking salmon?
I've read some people brining overnight and others simply seasoning and going.
Any advice/preference/guidance would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance!
Agreed completely. Lots of learning for sure. Just got my 700 a week or so ago, certainly a while different game w/pellet smoker. Thanks again for sharing.
Same issues/variability at times. If it helps, if I'm going to use my grill grates I have them in from heat up till cook at full/500 degrees.
I also had to really increase my overall temp from what I first ssumed. 500 degrees/full to achieve any sear whatsoever. Anything less was sub par.
Just did some drumsticks this weekend. Similar set up as well, 250 until internal temp 160. Increased temp to 400 and maybe 6 min, then flipped for another 6 min. Crispy, but a "complete" bite of the drum upon eating.
I did a dry rub/coating before, no wet sauce, etc.
Hope this helps!
Stumbled upon this thread after my light cover falling out and breaking last night!
Called Rec Teq HQ this morning (Sunday) and left a message.
Anyone tried smoking/cooking without the glass light cover (just the light housing/light bulb)?
Wasn't sure if the actual light bulb/light housing...

Anyone tried smoking/cooking without the glass light cover?
Wasn't sure if the actual light bulb/light housing could handle high heat?
Thanks in advance!
