Designed at the perfect height for easy cleaning?

Got home from a half day on the lake and the house didn't smell, so I would say he is doing well. :) He is big, dumb, and happy as usual. I will try to make a habbit to clean it to avoid possible issues in the future.

So funny story, I forgot to clean out the bucket and I looked and it was clean. I thanked my wife for cleaning it and she said she didn't. I then remembered I let my dog into the garage earlier that day for a few minutes, before I walked him. It was the cleanest it has been, since I bought it.

We only let him get a couple of licks in. Dogs have keen noses. He discovered it himself.

Yeah, I do have a weird taste, when it comes to beverages. I tend to like hard ciders and darker beers like porters or stouts. I saw this one on a display and thought why not LOL.

Joking aside, we only let him do it long enough to take the picture.

Just made the best chicken I have ever had!

Let me know how it turns out. Chicken thighs have more fat and require a higher temp, so I would adjust the temp accordingly. Though the extra fat does add flavor.

Just made the best chicken I have ever had!

This is what I used. I wanted to see how both of these would do. I think a lot of rubs would be good with this. I got the Carolina Pit Powder from a local Steve Raichlen event. The Sonny Crazy Cajun was given to me by Sonny. He makes a lot of rubs.

Just made the best chicken I have ever had!

I made folded cutlets today. I got boneless/skinless chicken cutlets, and brined them for a couple hours. I pat them dry, then liberally seasoned one side of half with a cajun blackening seasoning and the other half with a Carolina Seasoning. I put them season side down and brushed olive oil on...

Bull What should I smoke first?

Any suggestions on a pellet tube? I have a smoking box for wood chunks. I like a lot of smoke flavor.

Bull What should I smoke first?

Just ordered my RT-700 yesterday. I have been wanting a pellet style smoker/grill for years. I told my wife I wanted to order a smoker and she said "okay". She doesn't know the price, but says she is excited. :) I retired my old Pot Smoker that I haven't used in years, due to multiple factors...

    Bull My RT-700 Zaps Me

It looks like you might have a couple issues. Any metal housing on a device with electronics should be grounded. The issue might be both with the rectec and your outlet. I would contact both an electrician and rectec. A normal outlet can be GFCI protected via upstream GFCI outlet or GFCI...

    Bull Fit the 56" RT-700 into a 54" spot?

Clearence problem is only at about 8" high on one side. I then thought worst case, I could also keep it in the garage. So I ordered it and the pellet combo last night.

    Bull Fit the 56" RT-700 into a 54" spot?

I have a place on my deck that I am trying to figure out if it will fit the RT-700. Between my house and a single riser of a deck I have 54". I know the RT-700 is 56" wide, though I am curious how much of that is the smoke stack and handle? If the RT-700 is 54" or shorter between the side table...

    Front folding shelf?

How sturdy are these? I am looking at ordering a RT-700 and wonder if I should order the shelf with it or just build something.
