I think my bull goes down to 200 lowest temp. Anybody here have success with jerky at that temp or am I better off dusting off my dehydrator? I think most places recommend 180 or lower. I don't really want to fiddle with feed rates.

So to answer my own question...it was a pain. If there is no rust you should be able to grab onto the outside ring of the wheel enclosure and turn counter-clockwise (per Rectec support). In my case, no dice, that didn't work...even with penetrating oil and a big ol pair of pliers the outer...

Just got off the phone with them. They were going to send me a free replacement controller...then I inquired about the upgraded controller and they're doing that half price for me. What great customer service!

I'm pretty sure I saw "U7.07" every time it booted up...I'm guessing it's a firmware rev. The only reason I'd pay $99 is to get the new controller with wifi and the 2 probes which I would have had no idea about had I not had this issue.
