    Temp probe cables

I have a Meater+ and use it frequently, but on occasion, range is an issue. Really like the RecTeq app software, The Venom is Sucky - only works on. 2.4GHz. Maybe the real answer is to use one temp system and one app?

    Temp probe cables

I purchased 3 of the Thermoworks Silicone Probe spools @ $8.95 each, ( https://www.thermoworks.com/silicone-probe-spool/) and they are elegant with magnets to hold. Problem is, they're for the new "skinny" probes. I would need 5 more at $8.95 each. Think I might find some empty wire spools that...

    Temp probe cables

Am tired of kinks & tangles in meat probe temperature sensor cables. Compounding that, my RecTeq, Spider Grill Venom and Maverick probes used on my Weber Performer ALL have different size/configuration probes! Which one fits which PID? Any ideas on how to store and identify the cables to prevent...

    recteq grills uncovered

An update: I asked Recteq if it could be cleaned with barkeepers friend, and if installation of LavaRock gasket would prevent the leak? My initial answer was: “Thank you for getting in touch! Just a heads up, stainless steel will develop a patina when it's exposed to heat. It's completely...

    recteq grills uncovered

Following. I did my first RT-1250 all-night brisket cook yesterday and this morning while cleaning it was surprised concerning the amount of smoke residue on the smoker. Two questions: 1. Does LaveLock work? Is it applied to the lid or to the barrel? 2. Is there a handy cleaning solution to...

    Pellet Dispenser

I purchased the same container with locking lid and pour spouts at Tractor Supply for $12.99. (Same price for 20 pound oak pellets) $25 looked like a good deal.

    RT-1250 First Cook

Have cooked a long time on the Weber WSM and my Weber Performer, so will continue to use for grilling. Will try the pellet grill for Low-Slow cooks. Don't think there is anything wrong with the RT, it's just not a grill.

    RT-1250 First Cook

Yes sir, lid was closed. I noticed no smoke at all, but I understand pellets just don't smoke that much. The grill indicated the set temperature, and when I set it to 400℉, the pit temperature climbed steadily.

    RT-1250 First Cook

New to pellet smokers, assembled my new RT-1250 yesterday, did the initial burn this morning and decided to cook chicken for dinner. Rubbed with Meat Church The Gospel and set the grill to 350℉. After preheat, put 4 chicken breasts and one thigh/leg on the grill. 30 minutes later chicken looked...

    Kirkland Signature Pellets

As a new pellet smoker (RT-1250 on order) user, but a long, long time Weber charcoal cooker user, I'm finding the conversation about pellets quite interesting. Don't know this, but am of the opinion that the industries' augers and burn pots are all quite similar, given the characteristics of...

    RT-1250 Phoenix user?

It's only 626 miles from home to Lehi, UT. Not hateful, but not a trip I would make to look at a pellet grill.

    RT-1250 Phoenix user?

Happy with my Weber Performer, but reading about Recteq 1250 has piqued my interest in a pellet grill. Could not find one anywhere in Phoenix, AZ. One would think the weather in the Phoenix area would be quite conducive to year round BBQ activity, but apparently the Recteq is only sold by Ace...
