Did the new lid help with the temperature problems? It takes my 590 so long to get to 475

Same with me. My initial burn in took a while but after that had no problem until recently.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe the pellets had something to do with it. I just got a bag of the rec tec pellets going to try those out and see if the problem is that. I have a bag of traeger pellets, was thinking of testing those since I don't really care for wasting those pellets haha.

Sorry, I meant Bear Mountain. But it was about almost an hour and the highest temp it would hit would be about 450 then drop to 440ish. Never hit 475.

Yeah, starting to think maybe it's the pellets.

I made sure the temp probe isn't close to the wall of the grill. I've had my grill for about 2 months and haven't cleaned my temp probe.

It's been around high 50's to low 60's

Trying to get my 590 to 475. It's. Been taking a long time. I'm using Bear Mountain pellets gourmet blend. Not sure what's going on. I clean the grill really well and still won't get to temp

Unfortunately I emailed recteq and they want to see pictures. I already cleaned up so I guess on my next cook I'll be able to show them.

Well, just did my first cook on my 590 today. After I was done, I was putting everything away and realized grease had leaked from the left side near the hopper. Has anyone ever had this issue?

Yeah it was kind of upsetting. And I had some scratches on my stainless steel. But when recteq offered me that add on I was happy. You should definitely give them a call or email.

Yeah, I totally get it. Things happen and I contacted recteq and they offered to send me a add on which is awesome. So I was definitely happy with that. Debating on what to get. I like the sear kit.

It bugged me at first. To be honest it's bugging mu fiance more than me now. Since she bought it for me as a gift. They aren't cheap so it's kind of annoying. But RT is great and things happen.

So basically we were kind of in the same boat. It didn't bug me as much as it bugged my fiance since she bought this for me as a gift haha. But I'm debating on sending it back not sure if I should.

Thank you! They offered me a new grill or compensate me for the one I have. I'm kind of torn cause it's kind of a pain to ship back and wait for a new one
