I used my leftover Traeger pellets for the initial burn in with no issues. Just wanted to use them up. I have stocked up with a variety of LJ and Bear Mountain products. Last cook was with LJ Competition Blend. It turned out well. I could see that one being my go to brand.
Has anyone ever used RTV silicone to create a gasket between the chimney and the barrel? I have not received my Bull yet, but when reviewing the assembly manual, it doesn't look that there is any gasket included.
I was lucky enough to find a guy who works at a bakery. He was able to get me 10 buckets that were headed to the recycle bin. These buckets are food grade (not that this matters for pellet storage) and have a rubber gasket on the inside of the lid to help keep the pellets dry. Best thing is that...
