I do about the same on my bullseye but haven't vacuumed the ash on my 590 yet and I've owned it for about almost a year. I cook year round so I'll probably clean it in a few months.

I mainly stopped using a tube because I couldn't keep it smoldering. I tried letting it burn for like 5 minutes before blowing it out, but it still went out after a few minutes. I might try again for higher-heat cooks that could use a little more smoke.
I just bought the rub and sauce bundle since I wanted to try them all but never wanted to pay the $90. I feel it was a good deal at $76. I also added a Teflon drip liner and the cleaning kit because why not.
