Everything I have ever owned bluetooth works like a champ. Remotes, headphones, maverick smoking thermometers, blood pressure cuff, mini-jambox, outdoor themometers, etc. My wife has trouble with bluetooth also but I call that operator error.:rolleyes:

The tunnel for the pellet auger on the 680 runs front to back. For the HeavyD to straddle it, the way he has it positioned is correct. I believe the Heavy D was designed for a grill that has a pellet tunnel that runs side to side like a Pellet Pro, but with the fire bricks like Snook has shown...

@ $99 with 2 new meat probes and the ability to see current grill temp, meat temps, graph temps, set alarms, etc. all from my phone on wifi or inet vs. the maverick probe remote, it was a definite no-brainer for me.
