What is your frying pan of choice?

I have the same issue with eggs. I use a fair amount of coconut oil when I do eggs. I like to butter my burger buns and brown them on the stove. I’ve never been able to get them to brown evenly. I have a brand new Kitchen Aid stove that’s electric, so that could be the issue…. Or sure though.

RecTeq turning off app remote start up feature?

My smokers are covered so I have to go out to remove them anytime I smoke something. It's actually quicker than going into the app. I'm only speaking for myself when I say, it's not a game changer to me that I will no longer have that option.

    Kirkland Signature Pellets

I just bought a couple of bags each of Bear Mountain Hickory and Royal Oak Charcoal pellets and plan to mix them 50/50. I've never used the charcoal pellets so I'm going to be curious as to how they work and if the smoke flavor/taste is different.

    Does anyone smoke Mortadella?

My go to's are Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur #1's. Guhrka's, Cohiba Red Dot, Perdomo Champagne.......amongst others. What cigar manufacturer makes the Mortadella you smoke?

    Kirkland Signature Pellets

I don't understand everyone complaining about the length of pellets. I found an easy fix by having my wife sort through the Costco pellets and she breaks them in half........it's an easy solution fellas!! She does this in her spare time after working her two jobs. To me, you're just being lazy...

    Kirkland Signature Pellets

On a similar note to what you are talking about. One of my good friends from high school works at Rise baking. They make various breads etc. in the Twin Cities area. They make the exact same baguette etc. for many companies including Aldi's, Target, WalMart, and higher end grocery stores like...

    Blackstone

I lived in Wisconsin but moved to Phoenix at the end of October. Still have the place in Wisconsin. Also, on the picture I included, it says “only at Lowes” Hope this clears up any confusion over where I live.

    Blackstone

It’s on their website way at the bottom. Just google Blackstone. It’s $1199.

    Blackstone

Wisconsin, on the Minnesota border……20 minutes from St. Paul, 30 from Minneapolis.

    Blackstone

I just took a job at Lowes in Phoenix and I saw it yesterday and checked it out a little bit and it looks really nice. Today, a guy was loading one up in his truck.

    Blackstone

I see Blackstone has a smoker and griddle combo. I love that idea but not sure how their smokers are and I think they’re new to the smoker market. Anyone have one?

    Griddle

That's a great point that I didn't even think of, having to cook with the lid open so the temp is always going to be fluctuating. Thanks for pointing that out.

    Griddle

Is it possible to buy a large griddle pan that you could set on top of the grates, rather than having to buy a Blackstone or Pit Boss griddle? I recently bought a Napoleon grill and I'm curious about using that, as opposed to my RecTeq, for a griddle.

What is your frying pan of choice?

I have Hexclad and really love them. They clean up very easily. I highly recommend them!

    Deck Boss

I was reverse searing filet mignon at 180 degrees. Also, after 1 hour on low, I went outside and the pellet hopper was FULL of smoke. I couldn’t even see any pellets when I first opened the hopper lid. This is my third RecTeq smoker, and I’ve never experienced anything like that. I was out there...
