I have had my RT 700 with smoke box now since June. I do like the way this unit sets up and cooks most things. But I don’t think I would buy a pellet grill again. It’s good for burgers, chicken and such, and yes you can smoke on it, but to me the smoke quality of the Rec Tec against the wood chunks and charcoal in a Weber is not as good.
And before you think I’m just a newbie starting out, just so you know I’m 60yrs old and have used quite a few smokers and grills over the years. So as far as smoking briskets, ribs, pork butts, it will go on the Weber Smokey Mountain, burgers chicken and hotdogs will go on this pellet pooper.
