    Love the 700. Just takes too long to get hot hot and imo not great for searing. I’m thinking adding the 380x as that’s what most people are recommending. Don’t really want to add gasser because then I have to get propane. Would prefer to stick with 1 fuel source.

    Thanks all, I think I’ll stick with the 700 since it’s already ordered and i would have to pay a restocking fee if I switched now. Hopefully I don’t regret it!

    Time to temp is a concern I have from reading. I guess the 1250 has a faster auger. Is it true that the 700 takes a long time to heat up? I have an egg now which I love but the reason I bought this was to have something I could turn on quickly in 10-15 min instead of wait 45 to get it up to temp.

    Looking for some advice. I’m a little concerned I ordered the wrong smoker. I thought the 1250 was a larger version to the 700. I’m now finding out that it’s the upgraded 700 and not actually larger. I’m a little disappointed the Req teq site was not very descriptive and now they are saying...
