Bull Do people grill in the rain?

When I purchased my propane 6 burner, my old Weber charcoal got shoved to the side. I still kept it for those days I wanted a "nostalgia cook", but it sat mostly covered. Now that I have the 700... my propane will become the new "has been" and I'll probably only keep the charcoal simply...

Stampede Temp chart stop working once again

I appreciate the clarification. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of this ongoing problem until it happened to me - which is why I searched for these answers. I'm on my 3rd smoke with my RT700, which also happens to be my first long one. I went to bed and it was tracking fine - but when I woke up...

    Bull Prime Rib Roast Question

I'm glad to hear that there were two different approaches that both worked out well. In case we find ourselves with more or less time on the next go 'round. Thanks for leaving the details... I may give that way a shot sometime.

Bull Got our "Rec Tec" Toolbox yesterday

Until I read this post, I didn't realize that I had done the same thing. I guess when I was assembling mine last week I just figured that made the most sense as far as grip and control (like you said). Looking at it now, it does seem kind of funny - but I like the practicality of it. Besides...

    Bull Prime Rib Roast Question

Ok, so it turned out better than expected. I was able to get to 122/124 IT at a little over 5 hours. Pulled it off, and cranked the Bull up to 400. Put prime rib back on and it was at 135 IT after about 20-25 min. Let it rest for about 30 min and it was perfect. (First two pictures are from...

    Bull Prime Rib Roast Question

Mid cook update: Meat went on with internal temperature of about 34-35 degrees. I’m a little over 4 hours in and the internal is up to 98/97 degrees. I should definitely get to the 115-120 in 6 hours.

    Bull Prime Rib Roast Question

Will do. I seasoned it this morning after salting it last night and letting it sit for a while. I plan on throwing it on this afternoon and will let you know if things go as planned. It's either going to turn out great - or it's going to be an expensive mistake and we will be eating lots of...

    Bull Prime Rib Roast Question

I'm going to be cooking one on my new 700 Thursday... and have been looking all over to find a solid answer - mostly so that I can make sure I don't run out of time. From a lot of the videos and articles I've read the numbers are the same that they are putting on here (35-40 min per pound) but...
