My 590 is about 2.5 years old now (my stimulus gift to RT). I’ve been having temp swings since the beginning, but I guess I’ve learned to compensate. Lately though I started having crazy probe readings with the RT probes. I’ve tightened the nuts down as others suggested with no real difference...
Thanks for the update. Passed by those pellets the other day and put my brakes on since it was the first time I’ve seen them. I’ll pick up some next trip (or tomorrow since I like Costco).
I second the bear mountain which I get at tractor supply for $9.99 but limited selection. Also at Chef’s Store but even less selection. This store however is my go-to for bone-in pork shoulder and ribs.
Wow…thanks for the update. Yeah, might expect that with another lesser brand, but not RT. The danger of growing too fast? Hopefully a one-off and not indicative of a larger trend.
I also had leakage after first couple cooks. Nothing to do with drip tray position. After inspection, noticed a couple small holes near hopper that may have been spot weld overtemps (see photos). Bought some high temp sealant (Recteq later sent some as well) which fixed issue. Take a look...
