    Mesquite and hickory pellet blend???

I am curious if anyone has done a blend of hickory and mesquite pellets... The idea sounds interesting, and is something I’d like to try. Unless of course, any of y’all have had negative experiences with it. Are there any other good combinations? Let me hear your thoughts on this. Enlighten...

Bull New RT-700 Owner!!! First burn.

I did my first burn the night I got mine as well. That portion worked well, it just took me a minute to sort out the wifi. Was happy to get it to work without having to do the antenna mod. :)

Sort of a new grill owner.

I'm just flat out working from home. Logging into the office network every day, taking phone calls from the office via my PC.... I'm like... 80% productive. LOL

I'm not quite sure yet. I'm a huge fan of tri-tip and ribs... So probably one of those.

Mastertech59, that would be a awesome suggestion... were it not that I am presently working from home due to COVID-19. Haa haa haa

The Bull has landed. Unfortunately, I'm working so it will have to wait until I get home.

Sort of a new grill owner.

The shipping manager called me today. UPS lost the package in Seattle. Since located it, and shipped it down to Sacramento, but apparently didn't bother to update the tracking on it. Hopefully it'll be here today or tomorrow. Getting excited.

Yeah, that was my initial interaction with Rec Tec as well. When I emailed them, I let them know full well that this is all on UPS. Rec Tec has no fault in the matter. I just wanted them to know the issues that are caused by their shipper, and they were quick to respond. I got a phone call...

Sort of a new grill owner.

Because I don't have a grill to keep my busy, I crunched a few numbers. UPS has spent 109 hours of time shipping my package, and Wait for this: 168 hours 49 minutes with the package sitting at a UPS site waiting for someone to do something. That is 7 days, 49 minutes.

Sort of a new grill owner.

So... On May 2nd I pulled the trigger on a new Rec Tec RT-700... After reading a bunch of stuff on these forums, and research online, I can't wait to get the grill delivered, built and ready to cook! But that's the rub. I still don't have my grill. The only Bull I've gotten is from UPS...

    RT700 Ordered - Cannot wait

Yeah... I get that. But don't say it'll get there by X date, and not even have it in the same city some 4 days later... Which is what UPS Freight is presently doing to me. As mentioned by Big T, he ordered his and had it within 6 days. I'm in the same state, and it's been 10 days, and the...

    RT700 Ordered - Cannot wait

Big T, I'm seriously boggled! I'm just North of you, and the UPS tracking system shows a 3 day lay over in Atlanta, and then some creative routing on the way to California. I may have inadvertently paid for the 50 state shipping. At this point, I would not even remotely be shocked if the next...

    RT700 Ordered - Cannot wait

I'd like to second the slow shipping. But, this is all on UPS, not Rec Tec. Rec Tec shipped on 05/04, UPS stated delivery by 05/12, and as of 05/14 it is still 700+ miles away! I'm like you, I also ordered the RT-700. Can't wait to have it here. If all goes well, my first meal will be for...
