I use the Showtime Rottisorie to roast coffee. I had to add an extra heating element but it has been working for 20 years. Did he invent the Veg O Matic or was it the Salad Shooter. Nasty way to go.

My RT-340 holds temp fairly well at 220 and up. But below that I sometimes get 40 degree swings up and down. I have the feed rate at 5....the lowest it goes. RecTeq told when I called about it that the low temps will have those kind of swngs. And with those swings the smoke comes and goes...

The LavaLock worked great. Smoke is coming from the vents and the grease spout. I am happy with how it worked out. It came up to temp quicker and seems to hold the temp more consistantly. Thank you all for your advice.

They cost me about $25.00 with shipping. I used PErmatex Copper (700 degree) RTV.

Finally got the LavaLock installed and also the All Weather Smoke Vents. It took alot of scrubbing but I am sure it was clean and dry. I used the Zep and Alcohol. I will test it tomorrow after giving the LavaLock tme to bond.

I did notice the inner part of the lid ( baffle for lack of a better word ) was not center and was much closer to the edge of the lid on one side. I loosened the screws and was able to shift it to the middle. I then loosened the hinges and repositioned the lid. I will fire up the grill in a...

II spent an hour cleaning the lid this morning and my wife came home later with Chicken thighs for me to smoke for dinner. they are 30 mins. in. I guess I will be cleaning it all over again and will heed your advice when I do.

It is a fresh bag of Recteq pellets. I ordered some LavaLock last night and it will be in tomorrow. It has done this since day one. The meats I have smoked have been very good, but the stains and drippings around the lid are hard to clean.

My Trailblazer has as much smoke leaking around the lid/door as smoke going out the vents. Is this normal or should I seal the lid? The low temp (200 to 225)takes about 20 to 30 minutes to settle in after starting the grill. I have only had it for about 2 months and am new to smoking.

Yes I have. I called last Tuesday and they said it would take 3 to 5 days. I called 2 days ago and they said by the end of the week. It will be 15 days on Saturday. 15 days to ship in stock items is not good. That is not good customer service.

I put in an order for small parts on the 15th and they charged my card. I put in another order on the 18th for grilll brush, cleaning kit and a couple rubs. They charged mt card for that oeder also. As of now both have not shipped. Everything is in stock. That is not how you keep customers.

I just called RecTeq again. I have 2 orders . The first one was on the 15th and the second on the18th. I was told they would ship by the end of this week. 15 days to ship after charging my CC. Everything I ordered is in stock. Whats going on at RecTeq?

I called and ordered All Weather Smoke Vents (for my RT-340 ) which were in stock on the 15th. They charged my card that day but still have not shipped my order.

Gonna sit around the shanty....and put a good buzz on.

Mine works with only 75MB on the 2.4GHZ. Never disconnects and works great.
