    Rec Tec Ultimate pork butt

The recipe and video are completely different when it comes to the cook. Video only uses mustard and rub then on the smoker for 6 hours at 325. Recipe does not include that option. It makes a sauce, puts butt in pan with sauce and wraps and continues cook. Where is the video recipe? Of course...

    RT-700 foil-lined drip pan shredding

I had the same problem. Additionally, found droppings in the smoke chute leading to the chimney. I live in Florida so it could have been many different critters. My solution was to cover both the grease drain chute and the top of the chimney with a gallon freezer bag. Use a rubber band to hold...

Bull Bull running way too hot

I need some suggestions for my Bull 700 overheating issue. Started about 3 smokes ago. Cannot maintain any smoking temperature from 200 through 300. Don’t use the Bull above 300. Temperatures running 40 to 80 degrees above what is dialed in. Both the Bull temperature probe and my Thermoworks...

RT-1250 Grease fire twice in a row

Even if it now works following all the recommendations, check the heat deflector over the fire box. Mine warped badly once (from cooking at high heat). Recteq replaced it (free) but the new one has developed a slight warp. The badly warped one prevented the grease tray from sitting at the proper...

Brisket Help - unusual cook times?

A little confused. You said you used choice in a couple of places but in one other you said prime. Which was it?

    Bull Drip tray/foil Question

I use the Trager pans and love them. Only change when there is heavy build up on the pans. The other benefit is it reduces the build up in the bottom of the cooker.........and no this build up does not add flavor....that's the smokes job.

Bull Disappointed with problems with my new RT700

I will try to address each issue. I have had my 700 for 2 years. WI-FI - If your router is too far away it won't connect initally. My router is only about 20 feet from my 700. If your router is far away talk to your service provider about getting a booster. Even close as I am I have had a few...
