I'm a simple man. I use a piece of velcro wire management strapping and coil it back up just like it was when it arrived. Something like this:

I drag the extension cord I use in and out of the house because we use it for lots of things.
Usually we just roast veggies.
Get a half sheet pan and line it with foil. Set your pellet grill to 425.
Then take a head of broccoli, or a head of cauliflower, or a bag of carrots, whatever. Frozen veggies work too. Toss them with a tbsp or 2 of olive oil, some salt and pepper. Spread them...
Honestly, Rec Tec support is amazing. The kit kinda spoke for itself as being top quality, but my talks with their staff absolutely put my experience over the top. The first time I ever chatted with them was via email, which led to a phone call. The phone call was about 5 minutes discussing the...
Man oh man, I've been looking at the Signals. It's a huge price tag, but I'm considering it. The only thing holding me back (other than the price) is if I can have it set to use 2 pit probes and 2 meat probes instead of 1 pit probe and 3 meat probes.
Specifically, I want to see what the temp...
Another vote for the amazing tube here, or if you use bbqpelletsonline, they sell a knockoff called a "wedgie" that does the same general thing. They're super useful on their own, but they also definitely help add an extra punch of smoke.
I personally wouldn't be too worried about them...
Really digging on the 2"x1" channel you added. It looks fantastic. Where did you purchase it? And did it come pre-powder-coated?
Also, have you had any issues with the extra width sticking out from under the cover (assuming you use a cover)?
Thanks folks! Sitting in broad daylight under midday sun, set on LO, it seems to have hovered about 185 for me. The salmon got done a little faster than expected, but still turned out beautifully!
Yup, you are 100 percent right about it not being constant.
The way I mentioned though, you'd still be storing it as a percentage offset inside the controller, right? You just ask the user to input an offset in degrees. Basically, prompt the user for the offset in degrees, and then accept their...
I'd definitely like to see this better explained as well.
IMO, the current implementation is kind of confusing from a user perspective. I build systems like this for a living (writing APIs and such, developing firmware, etc). If I was the one designing this particular system, my preferred...
Hey folks. I am trying a traeger smoked salmon recipe today. They recommend using their "supersmoke" setting, or 180 degrees.
The bull has xtreme smoke (LO setting), but seems to bottom out at 200 degrees otherwise.
I'm just curious what the temp ends up working out to be when you use the LO...
She looks beautiful my friend, congratulations!! It's one hell of a piece of kit. One bit of advice - try to think of her as less of a smoker, and more of an outdoor woodfired oven that can also be used as an excellent smoker. I've roasted veggies in it even more often than I've smoked stuff in...
I ended up going with the bundle where you get 200lbs of pellets, and a cover. I figured that covered the "need to have" and almost everything else was "want to have."
I then ordered the grillgrates separately from the grillgrates website because with a promo code I could get it at a cheaper...
After you turned off 5GHZ, did you disconnect your cellphone from the network, and "forget" the network?
If you are using Orbi, disabling 5GHZ doesn't disable the 5Ghz network, it just stops it from broadcasting its SSID. So turning it off won't disconnect your cell phone from 5ghz. So, you...
Personally, if I could have exactly what I wanted, I would use a 50/50 mix of cherry and pecan. Pecan tastes a lot like hickory, but far more mild. And cherry + pork are meant for each other.
