Seems like bbq spices are well-covered here. For other spices and fruits like saffron, pepper, a variety of dried chillies, mustard seed, turmeric, vanilla, cacao, salts, cinnamon, cumin, and many other spices, I can't sing the praises loud enough for Diaspora...

I'm a newbie also. I like the grill plates. They are easy to clean and if you don't care about a sear they're good for a much quicker cook of vegetables or potatoes.
