I’m an long-time ex-user of an MES with the mailbox mod. I’m thinking of trying to use the mailbox with a RT 340 and fashioning an adapter hose of some kind to go in at the probe outlet hole. It’s a small opening, but it could still work, I think.

I have a 340. I have lots of experience using pellets in the tray. I just didn’t know if it would do any good to have the tray sitting on the grate with the meat for extra smoke. I’m talking hot smoking. I think putting it at the bottom of the drum with no drip tray would work well for cold...

I have an A-Maze-N tray pellet smoker laying around from when I used a MES electric (the ol’ mailbox mod, if anyone is familiar). Does anyone use use this with their Recteq for extra smoke? I’ve seen tube users, but how about the tray style? Thank you!
