How fresh and what kind of pellets are you using? This happened to me once due to older pellets being in the hopper. Needed to burn through the older ones then the temp held solid.

Just refurbished my RT-680 and my neighbor wanted to purchase it today. Ordered a new Bullseye. Looking forward to the new smoker and missing my old one already.
Had some issues at first with my Bull and the great RecTeq staff helped me through the problems. My recommendation is to make sure your pellets don’t get dried out over long in between uses. The pellets burn differently and impacts the burn temp.
