I've been using this for two years to store pellets. I can dump three 40lb bags in it and have no problem wheeling it around my patio. It's held up well too...
Another Dawg with back and heart problems. I've had four surgeries on my back and was recently diagnosed with permanently damaged nerve pathways which means I'll just have to live in pain. I had a heart monitor installed after I fainted in 2019 - I got out of a chair too quick. I broke some...
I hate to see this. I had my igniter go out last summer on my 590. I called them and told them I had a problem getting the grill to start. The diagnosed it as the igniter and sent me a new one and didn't charge me. I'd had the grill for 15 months.
I'm a "foil-er." I've had my 590 for over two years and cook on it 4-5 times a week, so every week I pull the grates off, pull the old foil off, wad it up, throw it away, and then put the new foil on the drip tray. I fold it over the edges of the drip tray. It might take a little longer, but...
I make my own. Ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, apple cider vinegar, kosher salt, hot sauce, cayenne, smoke paprika, black pepper, Worcestershire, and oregano.
I cook burgers on my 590 all the time with foil on the drip tray. I cook at 325, get the smoke taste on the burgers that everyone likes, and I've never had anything close to a grease fire. My grill grates are on a shelf in my garage collecting dust. I figure I am covering the burgers with...
I'm in Georgia as well and have owned my 590 for two years. I cook on it 4-5 times a week so I keep my hopper full of pellets. I have only used the Rec Tec pellets since I bought it and buy two 40 lb bags at a time from Amazon. I keep them in a big plastic container and everything is under a...
I buy RecTeq pellets from Amazon four bags at a time - 160 pounds. I have a Rubbermaid container that can hold all of them that stays outside under a porch that is out of the weather. I pour them out of the bags into my container and haven't had any problems with my pellets in over a year of...
I've never had any success with long cooks on pork shoulders, Boston butts. etc......they all turn out too dry.
I get a whole hog every Spring and last year I had them cut that portion of the hog into 4-5 pound sections because I'm usually only smoking them for my wife and I. I leave the fat...

I don't even use probes. My Rec Teq probes have never been hooked up to my 590. I use an old meat themometer my wife had laying around when I bought the 590 and it hasn't let me down yet.
I had some St. Louis ribs in the refrigerator, but we ate so much yesterday watching football I'm not smoking them until tomorrow. We'll be "vegan" today: collards and blackeyed peas.
GO DAWGS!!!
That does look great!
My wife doesn't care about anything except her chicken not showing a drop of blood when she cuts it open. Since it's just the two of us I usually only smoke chicken splits. I pour olive oil all over them and then rub them with McCormick's Sweet and Smoky. I smoke them on...
