Just use a socket tester and it will tell you if you have a good ground and the wires are all good. First thing my electrician used for me.

I tried them, I went back to the heavy duty massive roll of foil from Sams Club. Less cost and easy to change after each cook.

That happened on mine and it was from the light wire that was pinched where it comes into the housing behind the hooper. Still haven't been able to replace it. Wires cant be pulled thru it so I may have to pull the hopper away a bit to get it installed.

Mine was not tight either but it just needed to be tightened more and it was fine. Make sure the outside end pieces are on too.
