Mike, do you know if a suckling pig will fit on the RT590? If so, how many pounds would you recommend?

The pig in my avatar photo was 1/2 of a 35 lb pig (less head) and just fit as shown on a CampChef grill area 19.5” x22”

So it should fit on the RT 590 I would think. Thank you!
Received my 700 Tuesday and have used it every night - smoked king crab legs, whole chickens and burgers so far. Looking forward to learning from all of you and sharing some of my own experiences. Cheers!

What part of Michigan? I'm between Grand Rapids and Lansing.

Smoked crab legs??? Wow.. I didn't know you could do that without drying them out. I gotta try it.. what temp and how long if I may ask.. crab and lobster are my "religious experience" foods.. I can eat my weight in either of those.. (and I'm 240lbs)
Just got my RECTEC 340 and it will not work , called support and told the er1 and er3 conning up they are sending new part any idea how hard to put on? Kind of disappointed out of the box doesn’t work

Its the best you can get. Many of us have done a ton of research prior to buying. ??

Just got mine today. If the assembly is any indication of the quality of this unit, I am in for a real treat. Everything fit exactly as it should. SUPER easy to assemble, took about an hour.
New owner of a 590, loving it so far, but only 1 cook done. Doing burgers tonight and steaks tomorrow. Only issue I'm having is I cannot get Wi-Fi connected. I'm also searching for reference on what temp to set grill at for certain meats; for example, what temp for burgers, or my steaks.

I use the searing kit for burgers and steaks and preheat to 400. Works great. Some say 450, but I cook thick steaks and prefer 400 to get to medium rare (130 degrees) with a crisp, but not burned char. I'm a wine guy and burnt char is a killer for wine.

Turn off the 5 side of your router and then connect your phone so it’s seeing your 2.4 connection. Once done turn back on the 5 side again.

I like a reverse sear on steak. So if you are doing a 2 pound bone in ribeye I would cook at 300 until around 110 to 115 wrap in foil and get the grill hot 450 or max. Put steaks on just to sear and get the temp to the desired doneness you like.
my new Bully 700 should be here Saturday May 30th 2020

Nice! I have a Big Blue Egg (Pit Boss egg) and it’s nice for a change. Finally went with Rec Tec and the Stampede and I love it!
Should you add a gasket to the lid of the rec tec grill to keep heat and smoke from escaping?
