Just got a new RT700 upon strong recommendation from a friend who owns 2 recteq smokers. First cook is going on now! Looking forward to learning a bunch from everyone here.
1250 new owner and mid-way through construction. We bought the competition cart and instructions are not 100% when it comes to where in the process the front folding shelf is attached. Everything else seems to be in place - any tips would be helpful! Can't wait to cook!!

Just for grins, I looked at the manual again after almost 9 months. I don't have the comp cart. I can't quite tell if the nut side of the shelf is "inside" the comp cart or if the shelf has pass through bolts through the shelf into the base of the grill. As is often mentioned here, it may be worth a call to Recteq.
After being a stick burner for 25+ yrs using offsets, reverse flows and tray smokers. I made the jump to a 1250 about 7 months ago. Love the simplicity of it so I made some changes. I sold my pull behind Reverse Flow smoker that held 45 butts, 25 racks of ribs and had a 3x7 charcoal grill on it. And the big news is I JUST ORDERED THE 2500 BFG.
I’m looking for the easier softer way and I’m let u guys know how it goe
Just ordered 1250 and couldn’t pass up the 340 offer. Ready to get grilling!

I could not pass up on the 340 as well. I have used the 340 to smoke bacon while ribs were on 1250. I also think the 340 will be used for the wife and me for our nightly cooks.

I did the same, not even knowing what I'm going to do with the 340. I tried to get one of my sons to buy it, but it doesn't work for them right now. So I'll either have a portable smoker or try to sell it locally. I really don't know what we'll do with it yet - it was pretty spontaneous.
1250 arrived! Assembly complete! Ready for the burn in and first cook, but the auger isn’t turning on…. Customer support time! Anyone run into that before? I won’t be a Recteq newb forever. 😀
Waiting patiently for my new RT 1250 ! ;)

Mine took less than a week. Depends on how quickly the LTL carrier can move this through their supply chain and where you are located. It is hard to wait...
HELP ! I have a Bullseye and only used it once. Today I was preparing to cook my Brisket. Prior to ignition I place a Water Pan under the grate. Little did I know but the damn pan had a pinhole in it. Before I could take it out it leaked into the pot. I then proceeded to scrape all of the wet pellets. However now the igniter won’t light. Dead cold. Now what do I need to do.
Patiently waiting for delivery of my recteq!

I finally got tired of waiting for my 590 which was at Estes for eight days. I called recteq to give me a shippers release at the Estes terminal. The next day I went and picked it up myself in a pick up truck.
After years of use I handed off my old RT680 to my son and ordered a new Bullseye and RT1250, the Bullseye was shipped FedEx and arrived in a few days the RT1250 was shipped using Estes with an estimated delivery date of the first week of December and to my surprise it showed up yesterday!

Good for you! You did well they held my 1250 for about ten days at a terminal 45 minutes from my house. I should have picked it up myself but I didn’t want to deal with a 522lb pallet by myself. All is good now and I love my 1250.
A few recent cooks to get this party started
