I have two Recteq units. A 1250 and a 340. They sit side by side. The 1250 recently stopped connecting to wifi. The 340 works just fine. I have rebooted the wifi router and tried with the 340 unplugged. Any ideas on "waking up" the 1250?

Assume you have unplugged the 1250 as well, waited a bit and tried connecting again? Highly recommend not ever leaving these grills plugged in "if you do", as weird things are happening.

Yes unplug and put in a security cam to thwart those incurageble yard workers.
Seriously if the unplug does not work and you have not, I would split the wifi into a 2.4 and a sperate 5.0 with different ssid's then know your 2.4 PW and go throught the set up. Unplug, press and hold the wifi button on the grill until it starts the fast blink, make sure your phone is on the 2.4 and try to connect. If that fails you may need to contact RT, of course, the short guy.
Let us know how it goes.

Edit: I feel certain, If I were there, I could colorful metaphor it to connect. But also, if you have an Iphone and just upgraded phone s, check out my whine post.

The newest Recteq app/firmware seems to be a factor here as well for the 1250...at least in my experience. I lost connectivity as well, but it bounced back after unplugging and going through the WiFi button process. I did have to add my grill again, but it reconnected and my grill name, etc. all were magically restored.

I have noticed that the current app is also sort of slow to see the grill. The grill used to always display as "Off" in the app. Now when I launch the app after manually turning on my grill, it takes almost a minute to appear or occasionally I have to go through the "Add a grill" and it miraculously reappears.

Long story short is this may be an app issue and not necessarily a true WiFi issue.

Good point @Pacman! Since I don't have a 1250 I can only address wifi experiences in general terms and what I have encountered on the app with my 700.

I think it must be something with updates. I looked in my wifi router and didn't see it's MAC in the table. I'm in the middle of a cook. Will keep looking. I may power everything off and try again.

My 1250 wifi stopped working about 3 months ago. Have never been able to reconnect. Tried everything, including tech support. I finally gave up.

Make sure the antenna connection has not come loose from the circuit board in the controller.

I had exactly the same experience with my RT-590. I think it was in fact a result of updating the firmware. I had to unplug the RT, remove the grill from the app, make sure my phone was on the 2.4 GHz wifi, then reinstall it like a new grill. Works now like you say.
