Reminds me of when I was very young, we would go frog gigging at night in the summer. For those not familiar with our/the process, you would wade through ponds and creeks in the dark trying to avoid snapping turtles and other dangers in the water while looking for bullfrogs on the bank. A bright flashlight in their eyes would fixate the frogs long enough to ‘gig’ them with a spear that looks similar to Poseido’s trident. We always took a skillet with us, cleaned them, and ate fresh frog legs over a campfire!
