Proving that we can all be "self-enabled" I see that @Greg Jones waited less than 4 hours to pull the trigger. I am jealous even though I don't know where I'd put a unit like this.

Well, in fairness (or not) to me I first commented in this thread October of 2020. I waited almost 5 years for someone to additionally inform my thinking! Yes, this was on my bucket list when in Kentucky, but became a higher priority when vac sealing the gifts of the Lowcountry sea! The current sale by Meat! pushed me over the edge! Don’t regret for a minute buying the FoodSaver, it has served me well for years, I use it at least 1-2 times a week, and was a bargain price, but it has its limitations when working with wet foods.

Ugh, all the, shall I say, disposable income. I know I own Harley's and cars. 🤣🤣🤣 All said in jest and friendship. Hey, hold my beer and watch this!
I started riding when I was so young I can’t remember when. Sold both of my Harley’s, and the trailer I could haul them in last year, so that freed up some $$$. Memories are forever, but there are times when one needs to just let go.

Sold my F-350 last year when we sold the house up north. I miss the utility of having a truck and have been thinking of getting a F-150. Who knows, I might even consider a F-150 “Lightning” EV. One interesting aspect of the EV is that it can provide back-up house power in the case of a power outage.

Literally have had a truck almost all my life. Even when my personal vehicles were a car, I had pickups for a company vehicle that I could use for personal use (and free gas!). I’d consider a F-150 EV myself, now that my long commutes to/from Kentucky are over. But my current F-150 is only 9 years old - think it might be the last vehicle I buy for myself.

You know, a bike with a trailer is the same as pickup truck.

I know that if you have a bike and a trailer, you also need a pickup truck! Speaking of which, it blew my mind when the one and only time I rode to Sturgis, the number of trailers that pulled off to the side of the road 10-30 miles from Sturgis so the owners could say ‘I rode my bike to Sturgis!’

Only to be beat by the guys who go to the local Harley dealer to have the bikes crated and shipped to Sturgis.

It was the most wild adventure, for me, ever. My two buddies who had planned the ride with me (both of them had been to Sturgis before) both bailed before the departure. I said to my self, ‘Self, screw it, we are going.’ I’m finally thinking I should be thee soon when I see people lining along the freeway rest stops to watch the bikes roll by and signs advertising (a See Wall Drug and b) Visit the Sturgis deli at xyz. I’m still 600+ miles from Sturgis! I’m not the type of person that rides somewhere and then sits at a bar all day. Visited so many wonderful places in SD, ND and Montana. And Jerry Garcia passed away while I was there. It will be 30 years this year since I went, but if you ride, you should put this on your bucket list.

I didn't know that was an option.
They do. We were headed to the ROT rally in TX and a buddy was having some strange oil pressure issues so he decide his bike was a no go. Have rooms already reserved on the way and I. Austin he rented an Eglide for the trip. The oil pressure issues turned out to be a bad connector but better safe and still enjoyed the trip. Came back through NOLA for some extra fun.
