Beef Texas Style Brisket on RecTeq Website

I am sure the recipe is great, but honestly, in Texas, most briskets are rubbed with nothing more than salt and pepper and cooked over fence post Oak.

Grew up in San Antonio, but lived in Austin during college....Used to hit Lockhart, Texas quite frequently....Blacks was my favorite over Smitty's and Kruez. Haven't been back that way in long time, but a lot of folks like Franklin's BBQ. I have his book.....it has recipes, but it's mostly about smoking. I've done briskets the way he does it, and honestly.....it's a very very good recipe.
