Set temp at 450* to grill some steaks and went off to do a quick chore for 5 min. Came back and remembered the pellets were getting low, raised the hopper lid and could see the auger, dumped some more in and everything was fine about 1/2 way thru with the steaks. I was opening the lid often to turn the steaks and the temp was rising up to 475* which I blamed on the lid opening so often. It kept climbing up and the steaks were done so left it run during our meal, checked on it later and it was up to 515*. Started the shutdown mode and restarted it and the fan started immediately cycling to cool it down. Left it running for another 45 min and it settled back to 450* and stayed there. So I don't know if all this was starvation for pellets or a computer glitch or a combo of both. Anyway I hope the problem is solved.
