Welcome to to the forums, temperature maintaining issues on a BFG if it's on initial burn in will do this, if it's after the burn in it's best to call recteq, they have been replacing controllers for this issue,

I’ve cooked several times on my 590 and it’s ran flawlessly. Today for the first time it started jumping up in temp. It was jumping up 20 to 30 degrees higher than the set temp. It also wasn’t registering my probe temp to my phone but it was showing correctly on the controller. I’m going to run it tomorrow with no food on it just to test it again.
