Switching from GMG Jim Bowie to 1250

I just joined the forum and wanted to say hello. I ordered my 1250 on Saturday. I called Recteq on Sunday because I had a question (forgot they were closed). This morning my phone rang at 9am and it was Recteq calling to see if I had any questions as they saw that I had called. Informed them I made my purchase and they welcomed me to the family. Great customer service already. Can't wait for my grill. I have no doubt I will be on here asking some noob questions.

The RT is night and day difference from a GMG. I made the switch about six months ago. You are going to lobe it.

Did you notice a difference in smoke flavor? I always thought the GMG was a bit lite on smoke.
