For years, I've re-used ketchup bottles and or other squirt bottles to distribute bbq sauce onto meat while cooking. I can't be the only one who does this???

Well, I'm onto a new BBQ sauce for a while now actually. Its Blues Hog, I'd highly recommend trying it if you haven't.

My problem is the sauce is so thick that it clogs the spout of my typical "recycled squirt bottles" when stored in the refrigerator. I've tried a few different ones, but can't seem to find one that works.

Does anyone use Blues Hog and know of a good squirt bottle that it will dispense from? without caking up on the nozzle when stored in the fridge?

Cut more of the tip off the squirt bottle. Big fan of Blues Hog also, but these squirt bottles are for the most part disposable. Make them work for you and what you need. Having said that, I really like the (more pricey) OXO squeeze bottles for the stuff where the viscosity doesn’t change-water, cooking oils, etc.

I've used these for years. I cut the top down (bigger hole) on some for thicker sauces. I purchased a ton of the plastic nipple caps to store stuff in the fridge or cabinets depending upon what's inside. NSF food grade and dishwasher safe. I have added more to my collection, but none have worn out.

Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle is the best. I haven’t seen it at the store lately.

I live and work really close to Blues Hog HQ, and I’ve been seeing it on shelves in squirt bottles instead of the typical glass jars. Don’t know if it’s something they are testing locally or just slowly rolling out to their distributors as they turn the older product.

I’ve seen them before-think that’s a standard item for them. They also sell in 1-gal. plastic jugs-ask me how I know that! I do love their sauce. We have a local to me in Kentucky BBQ sauce (Red State BBQ) that I’ve mostly transitioned to when I want a sauce, but I do like Blues Hog.

I've cut plenty of the tip off, but they still seem to clog. I buy blues hog by the gallon, and I hate to open the gallon every time.
