I am wondering how many of you use any of the RecTeq rubs or sauces. My first bottle of Screamin Pig arrived today and I’m kinda amped to give it try. Thanks in advance for your input.

I haven't tried the Rec Teq rubs myself, as I've primarily used Meat Church rubs or made my own.

Screamin Pig is on my wish list though. Looking forward to your hearing your thoughts about it.

Actually none 😔
They were sent to me by RT to compensate for the 380 issues.
My question was in general. If you didn't like the RecTeq rubs, is there any rubs from anywhere that you found special?

I’m pretty happy with the Meat Church rubs. In particular, the Honey Hog and Texas Sugar for pork and Holy Cow for beef. One nit-pick on the Holy Cow is that it is so coarse that it can overpower some cuts. Sometimes I’ll run it through my spice grinder to break it up some. Holy Gospel is nice on beef also, and doesn’t have an issue with coarseness.

I'm also a Meat Church guy. I did pick up RecTeq's mexican seasoning as that is fairly new and hadn't tried it. Jody's asian persuasion is probably the one I would say that stands out to me of their line-up.

I have used a few and they are ok. That said @sdynak mentioned one a few years back and we like it. Casanova’s competition rub. Aside from that as for purchased rubs it is MC, mostly I make my own.

I'm sure plenty of us know how nailing your cooks can sometimes mean nailing something else later that night
